Alfa Health ACA-Compliant Plans

Coverage options are tiered into four basic levels

Gold Plan

  • Higher monthly premium, but typically include the most comprehensive benefits.
  • May lower out-of-pocket expenses if you have a lot of medical expenses.

Silver Plan

  • More affordable than Gold plans, but do not offer as many comprehensive benefits.
  • Silver must be selected if you qualify for — and intend to use — a Cost-Sharing Reduction (CSR) to save on out-of-pocket expenses.

Bronze Plan

  • Typically the lowest possible monthly premium for a standard health insurance plan.
  • Expect higher out-of-pocket expenses.

Catastrophic Plan

  • Only available to individuals under 30 years of age, or those who qualify due to certain hardships.
  • Catastrophic plans typically have a low monthly premium, but they boast a high deductible that must be met before coverage kicks in.
  • These plans may offset some of the financial hardships associated with sudden, catastrophic illnesses or injuries requiring complex care.
